Expand awareness of HUD's Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program --  a little-known yet promising vehicle for building assets -- across a wide range of constituencies.

Foster partnerships between public housing agencies (PHAs) and other agencies and organizations interested in asset-building and family strengthening efforts that help to expand the number of individuals building assets and making progress towards self-sufficiency through FSS.

Support FSS practitioners by sharing best practices and supporting entrepreneurial approaches to program growth.

Encourage Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) outreach efforts that target individuals in public housing and the Section 8 voucher program.
